New Mexico, November 2014

I know, I know.  New Mexico is supposed to be years away.  What am I doing posting so far ahead?  Well, this year the American Folklore Society meetings were in Santa Fe, and I decided to give a paper, and the week following contained a public holiday.  So I decided to take time in the state.  The question is, should I try to visit the state like I normally do, blogging and seeking out obscure places?  Or should I vacation like a normal person?  I have not really decided, but since I am exploring the state by whim (it walks like a duck) and the photos are stunning enough to share (it talks like a duck), I thought I would get a jump start on a very lovely place.  Don’t judge me!
